About Me — Maissi's Mom
Hi, I'm Altynay — illustrator, cat mom, and the person behind Maissi's Mom.
Everything I make is inspired by Maissi, my grey Russian Blue cat who somehow ended up becoming my muse, my brand, and my reason to keep drawing.
My illustrations are playful, a little surreal, and always made with love. I believe love grows beautiful things — and that's the thread running through every piece, whether it's a cat on a banana flying through the sky or strawberries blooming from a sleeping cat's back.
I'm based in Helsinki, Finland, where I sell my work at local markets and now — right here in this little online shop. Each product is printed from my original artwork and made to bring a small moment of joy into your everyday life.
